The ladies of Dimestore Vogue remind me of perfect little housewives from days gone past. That’s why I decided to create a project to help me get organized and somehow become a little closer to ‘perfect’. LOL!
I used a chipboard binder as the base for my Mother’s Little Helper binder. The buttons on the cover were covered with Diamond Glaze to give them some dimension. Also, I took the enclosure off of the packaging and added it to the binder in order to ‘go green’ and give it a second use. And do you see that brown border? I used the tinted tape on the crepe paper, cut it with deco scissors and stitched it.
For the inside, I cut pages from cardstock and decorated the section dividers with some of the Dimestore Ladies. Each section has it’s own humorous quote that somehow goes along with the the section’s theme.
And here’s a look at the inside cover. I added a note pad for my grocery list!
My little Mother’s Helper may not turn me into June Cleaver, but I will certainly feel much more organized.
Finally, since today is the last post of the month, I thought I’d wrap up our ‘wrap it up’ theme for the month. This quick project also uses Dimestore Vogue, but achieves a totally different look.
I covered a bag with the sewing pattern paper. Then I made a big flower from the pink paper. I layered it onto the bag with two doilies and added a glittered die cut button. Then, I tucked the tag onto it.
This would be a fun way to wrap up a little girl’s treat, a Spring or Easter gift or even a teacher gift.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and for checking out my Dimestore Vogue projects. ~Anabelle
