Ok, one thing you need to know about me, is I am a TREAT FANATIC! I mean, I am the psycho mom who STUFFS those treat bags at my kids’ birthday parties. I’ve lightened up quite a bit now though that the kids have gotten a little bit older. Plus, I realized, that more often than not, many of those plastic little birthday treasures meet the same end as many of the kids meal toys from the fast food restaurants-tossed aside or thrown away. So, I’ve since focused my energies on presentation and not on just what is stuffed inside!
Remember as a child when you would receive homemade goodies on Halloween? Not only received them, but I remember even valuing those much more than the store bought candies. Back then these little treats were wrapped in wax paper, or orange and black tissue paper, or even a sandwich bag. Why not bring this tradition back? At least to the children in the neighborhood that you know. But, take it a step further and really dress them up!
These are little tags that were made from the Vintage Halloween kit-an absolute great way to use up any extra scraps. Simply fill a cello bag with treats, and tie off with a cute tag. I think its safe to say that this will make an impression on your little trick-or-treaters this year, and will most likely be the first treat they choose to eat!
