sticky situation…

Right now we are having fun with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. A seriously ROCKIN’ adhesive company. I CANNOT and WON’T live without them!!!!! I will show you my little project at the end of this post using their fabulous adhesives, but first I wanted to talk tape.

And I am not talking any ordinary tape. I am talking vintage Street Market tinted Tape. I LOVE this stuff!

They each have their own distinct look. So I made a tag to show you the different looks.

Here is the finished sample tag:

As you can see they all give such a different distinct style. I use them as “tape”. especially the linen one. It looks like masking tape to me, so I like to apply it to the corners to give that aged look of what those old albums looked like. I also like to make borders out of them, or make photo mats. Or sometimes just the look of a ribbon on a page. there is no limit to your imagination!

Now this layout I went a little extreme to show you how strong these tapes are in creating a look. I chose the numbers tape because it reminds me of school and seemed the most appropriate for the photo.

I took Glimmer mist and sprayed randomly the cardstock just so little bits of colour shows through. then I started at the top and kept taping the whole page.

Once I had the background covered then I created my page on top of it. I like the contrast between the black and white and the bright colours. To make everything pop, I used lots of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

3D Foam Squares

and everything is put in place with the

MyStik™ Permanent Strips Dispenser

NOTE: Don’t forget to leave comments on the blog to enter the Vintage Street Market/Scrapbook Adhesives drawing! Winner will be announced June 30th!
