Fireworks Fun!

Bottle up some fun with the vintage Patriotic kit and some vintage inspired Tinsel Sparklers! This project was very quick to put together, and would be a great display at your 4th of July BBQ.  Make several and display them together.

To begin this project, I used a vintage milk bottle, but mason jars would be perfect too-just something that looks very Americana.

The ruffle was created using the vintage ivory crepe and Charcoal Bakers Twine. I threaded a wide eyed needle with the twine, and threaded it through the crepe. This is a very quick technique, and the twine looks so cute peeking out between the stitches. I left enough twine on each end, wrapped it around the top of the jar,  and knotted it off. I then added a vintage ivory flat faced button which became the canvas for the other embellishments.

I kept the patriotic forget me nots (from the kit) in a bundle and wrapped  Numbers Tinted Tape around the stem. These were attached to the button using Scrapbook Adhesives foam squares. The metallic red balls (from the kit) are already attached to a wire, so I simply wrapped those around the button and arranged. The tag was assembled also with elements from the kit

For extra sparkle, (and who doesn’t love extra sparkle) I put the vintage silver tinsel from the kit into the base of the jar, and added in these fun vintage-inspired Sparklers. Nine sparklers come in each box so plenty to fill more jars!

Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend, and don’t forget, there still is time to make some vintage patriotic decor for your 4th of July parties!
