One of my favorite embellishments is buttons. I have a collection of beautiful vintage buttons, a bowl full of mother of pearl buttons and a rainbow of colorful ones, as well. But, today, I decided to use the solid colored Party Games papers to create chipboard buttons. It was so easy.
First, I punched two sizes of circles from the paper and from some cardboard. I adhered the paper to the cardboard using Mod Podge, then brushed a layer on top of the circles. I used the Mod Podge Gloss Lustre for this project.
I used some of the Mandarin Baker’s Twine and threaded the buttons together to make a little banner. I adhered these to the die cut diamonds and a bingo card trimed with crepe paper ruffles.
Finally, I finished the card off with a stamped sentiment flag.
Making chipboard buttons using Mod Podge was so much fun. I’ll definitely be doing it again.
