The SHOP is starting to get stocked with Christmas-vintage style!
Instead of, or in addition to, the traditional cookie swap party, why not host a Christmas tag making party? This little kit has all sorts of Christmas vintage goodies to make custom tags for those extra special gifts. For a tag party, spread some of these vintage lovelies around the table, add adhesive, play some carols, and let your guests get crafty! Best of all, its calorie-free!
I love all of the preparation that goes with Christmas, and really enjoyed creating these little tags. Because the vintage images are so colorful and have wonderful images, these little tags didn’t take too long to put together. Use the luggage tags as a template to create tags from patterned cardstock as well. Here are some fun tag ideas to get you started:
This is something I’ve been wanting to try for a little while now. This is a great old frame I found at a “tag sale” (couldn’t resist) over the summer. No glass, jut this great distressed, peeling frame, with the wire hanger. What a great way to actually DISPLAY tags! Once I made the tags, I attached them to the wire with mini paper clips. I also added a great vintage plastic star ornament for more texture (I think that gem is from the 40s).Use the tags for display, until its time to start wrapping gifts. Then, you can hang your Christmas cards up this way instead!
You know, I can’t resist a good cookie exchange party-maybe I’ll combine it with a tag party this year. Or, do both!
Enjoy all the Christmas planning and details!
