Whats for dinner?

I love “retro”  style!  My kitchen is full of all kinds of vintage goodies. Red, aqua, yellow… love these colors!  I had been wanting to create a chalkboard for my kitchen , using a old tin serving tray.  I’ll show you how I did it.

It can easily be done using a chalkboard spray paint similar to this one.

Once you’ve sprayed your tray and let it dry….  now, you can finally start the fun part. Adding the fun goodies.   I think the lady from the Family Fun Set “Paper Kit”  is so fun.. I knew I had to use her 🙂

I also used papers from this kit.

I attached ribbon to hang it from, to the back of the tray, using a hot glue gun.

I had fun making this, and I love how it turned out.  Now I better get it hung in my kitchen, get my roast in the oven, and start on my pie:)    So much for ordering pizza tonight. lol

Oh.. I thought I’d share a couple of photos of my kitchen so you can see how great it’s going to match. yay!

I’m sure I’ll  be making more “retro Kitchen” projects with VSM goodies, so I’ll share more photos then.

Time to get busy in the kitchen now:)

I hope you get a chance to make a fun chalkboard soon. If you dont have a large tray, a round pizza pan from the Dollar store works just as well, and looks super cute!
