Sew Cute! Dimestore Vogue and Unity…

Have you seen or worked with the “Sew Cute” stamp set from Unity???

It is just absolutely perfect with Dimestore Vogue-what a great combination! They complement each other so well, that I combined the two to make a mini 8×8 scrapbook pocket page.

The pocket was created by cutting up the Dimestore Vogue packaging. Don’t forget how versatile the packaging is! This image is in the corner of the packaging, so all I had to do was trim around the image, and I had an instant pocket! I then used vintage dress pattern to create a ruffle and embellished the edge of the pocket a bit more with Aged Tinted Tape and stitching. You can sew right through the tape! Aged tape and vintage ric rac also trim the top of the page quite nicely too…

I am just amazed at how delicate the lines are on these stamps! It really is quite impressive. Love vintage wooden spools, definitely one of my favorite things. For this corner of the page, I simply stamped the spool with brown ink, then stamped the spool again, but this time onto brown cardstock. Then, I cut this image out, wrapped a bit of ric rac around the spool, and inserted a decorative pin. Foam squares lift the spool off the page.

I plan on stuffing this pocket with pictures attached to simple ivory luggage tags. But, I also added a decorative tag using a Dimestore Vogue die cut, and the sweet button image that is in this set. The aqua buttons are lifted off the card with foam squares for more interest.  This stamp set also comes with several sewing related quips and phrases, that really add some fun!

Be sure to check out the Unity’s blog posts on August 18th and 25th…their design team made some incredible projects using Vintage Street Market products. And, be sure to come back tomorrow…we’ve got a fun GIVEAWAY in store!

Have a great day,
