Vintage Christmas “Snow” Cone

Its so hard to believe Christmas is just around the corner…well, 42 days, but you know that will be here before we know it!  And if you haven’t already started, now is the time to get busy crafting Christmas cards, decorations and gifts.

Here’s a craft that covers both decoration and gift-a Vintage Christmas “Snow” Cone, created with the Vintage Christmas Cone Kit.

To begin, I stuffed the gold foil cone with shredded paper to give it shape. The ruffle was created by trimming the vintage, glittered,  cotton batting to a narrower strip, then sewing a straight stitch, which I then gathered.  Layering the vintage snowflake, reflector and snowman creates the focal point. The greeting was trimmed from a vintage Christmas card and vintage holly sprigs add a bit more embellishment.

This Christmas Cone is all set to display or use as a special gift package-simply tuck a gift inside the cone.

Every gift needs a card. This card was crafted from the vintage Christmas card scraps, cardstock and vintage ricrac included in the kit.

I just love the memories retro Christmas images create, don’t you?

Enjoy the season!
