Let the Decorating begin

It’s that time! Time to break out the Christmas decorations.  I’m just getting started, but a really love it  when I have a few “new” things to get me excited about getting the house ready for the holidays.  I always have my favorite Christmas things,  that get put out each year, but having a few new things is always  fun and inspiring.  I was so excited to get my “Classic Vintage Christmas  Kit” goodies in the mail the other day. “yippee”    I dug around in them like a kid in a candy store.    I couldn’t wait to create something fun with them to start my holiday decorating for this year.

So… I now have a cheery Christmas swag for my kitchen!

Along with the bingo cards, I used pieces of the vintage sheet music, the parcel post sticker and a beautiful vintage card, that came in the kit.

The paper doily , vintage tickets and glittered felt, were also from the kit.

I used some bells, and bits of rick rack and ribbon I had in my supplies here in my room, but there is something about using actual vintage treasures like the ones in the kit, that is just extra special.  I  totally enjoyed making this.  I enjoyed the process.. now I get to enjoy having it hang in my kitchen for the holidays. yay!

Now that I’ve shared my project, I thought I’d share a photo with you. A photo of my basket filled with some of  my collection of Shiny brites.

Do you collect any particular Christmas things?
