It’s funny how sometimes It’s the small things that really catch our eye. When I opened my “Classic Christmas Vintage Kit” and all the vintage goodness fell onto my desk, I realized how I sometimes love the simplest little things. I adored so many things in the kit.. especially this little plastic tree
I had this inexpensive glass pedestal and dome I had gotten at Hobby Lobby , sitting in my room. I love being able to dress these up for different seasons and Holidays. So..I grabbed a couple of wooden thread spools from the bin in my craft room and created a little base for my tree.
I used the sheet music and tickets to cover my spools, and added one of the little vintage glass bulbs to the base of the tree. I lined the edge of my pedestal with the fun paper fringe and sat the dome on top, placing the vintage doily under it. The Maraschino bakers twine tied on the top. (why not?) lol
Here’s a photo, with the dome off , just so you can see it a little better.
Well, it’s probably time to get busy with a little Christmas baking. Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie? ( see those peanut butter ones with the chocolate stars in the center?? … defiantly one of my very favorites!)
* all sugar free, of course* lol
