I just LOVE Valentine’s Day! The whole concept of it, and the colors! What a great way to perk up those blah winter days. To add some sparkle to our home this Valentine’s Day, I created this “blingy” banner, using thin cardboard sheets (cereal boxes are perfect!), LOADS of glitter, and the Retro Pink Bling kit (pictured below).
The trickiest part of this entire project was probably trying to make nice “boxy” letters, as I did these freehand (measuring approx. 6 inches tall). Once cut out, I covered each letter in white glue (or Mod Podge), and covered the entire letter in glitter-both sides.
For the “O,” I decorated the center with a vintage pink reflector and added a couple more vintage embellishments. Once the letters were dry, and all extra glitter shaken off, I set eyelets in the top of each letter and hung them to the vintage pink tinsel garland with Pink Twirly Twine, tied in little bows of course (it is Valentine’s Day after all-bring on the sparkle and bows!)
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day today, and get to share it with someone you LOVE!
