Julie here, with a few fun new projects inspired by the beautiful month of June…
June brings the end of school, summer fun, Father’s Day…and so much more! Here’s what I came up with:
A cute little dollar bin bucket, found at Target, was the perfect backdrop for my little summer Bingo card wrapped with oodles of aqua Twirly Twine. Topped by an adorable little paper doll girl from the Family Fun Paper kit & a bit of “sand” made by scrunching up some of the brown crepe paper from the Dimestore Vogue kit. I just sprinkled some chunky, clear glass glitter on top of that, along with some vintage pearls and shells.
The handsome father paper doll from the Family Fun Paper kit was just the thing for this Father’s Day card. Long and narrow, just like the ones I’ve found in my own Dad’s kept card collection from years gone by…
Just a few embellishments were needed–can’t go too crazy on a masculine card, can we?! (Don’t you just LOVE that car? I’d drive around town all day long if I had one of those!)
And finally,
…a pretty little addition to my quickly growing art journal. Favorite quotes are filling my pages, and this one from Audrey Hepburn has long been a favorite. It seemed just perfect for the 1950s-style young lady found in the Dimestore Vogue kit perched just right on top of a Bingo card….
…and the “measuring tape” from Dimestore Vogue was the perfect border at the bottom of my page, topped with a few little feminine touches.
And that’s it for me this time! Hope your month is filled with wonderful summertime fun & inspiration!
Julie
