This next project is by Diane Payne (http://www.dianepayne.typepad.com):
“I knew the fun bright colors of the Party Games Paper Sheets and Tags would look beautiful with the bright colors and chevron designs of these May Arts ribbon. I wanted to keep the layout playful to complement my photo so I simply layered the bright papers and placed my photo on top. To carry the whimsical theme through with the ribbon, I folded it over to create ruffles and stitched it down onto the page with my sewing machine. I finished it off by tucking some die cut tickets behind the paper layers along with a few colorful buttons.”
Stitching gathered ribbon adds amazing texture to projects, and is another great way to use up scrap ribbon! I think all of us have that jar of scraps that are just waiting for that special project… And, that little touch of Numbers Tinted Tape adds that little something extra as well!
Today’s next sweet project is by Victoria Warren-Mears (http://vmellifluousmusings.blogspot.com):
For this project, Victoria uses the Family Fun Collection Meghan Kay cardstock and paper doll. The May Arts lace ribbon adds a very subtle texture to the card, and the pink striped twill ties it all together. Love the little flower detail in her hair!
