Wrapping Magic!

I propose that we put an end to peel and stick bows! Ok, well, at least on a few packages. 🙂 Wrap those extra special gifts for those extra special people a little differently this year-after all, a package with detailed wrapping just adds to the excitement! Which makes me just love the title of this vintage booklet-Wrapping Magic certainly sums it up!

I just love the contrast of kraft and colors. For this pocket decoration, I started by cutting out a shape from the flap of a cardboard box-one that had a thicker core. To create the texture, I peeled away the top layer of the cardboard exposing,  some of the fluting. To this, I added patterned cardstock to create a pocket. Now the super fun embellishing part!

Vintage Christmas seals top narrow strips of cardstock and look super adorable tucked into the pocket, along with a vintage candy cane (from the Completely Christmas Vintage Kit). Silver Tinsel Garland trims the pocket’s edge, and is further adorned with a Making Memories Noel gem and Red Twirly Twine (the “Sweet” ticket comes from the Twirly Twine packaging). Holly, fussy cut from Jenni Bowlin’s Holly Stripe cardstock is glammed out with Christmas Red and Holly Stickles. The “JOY” card comes from the Melissa Frances Deck the Halls cardstock minis and is beautifully framed with a Making Memories Metal Label Holder.

This would be a great pocket for a gift card too! So, put an end to peel and stick bows and show off the vintage!

Have a happy day,

Michelle
