A Valentine Crafty Party

Happy almost Valentine’s Day!

To celebrate, I hosted a Valentine crafting party this weekend, using the Valentine Creativity Kit and the Vintage Ephemera Assortment! This kit contains so many fun papers and embellishments that there was certainly something for everyone. We added a few doodads here and there, and had a great time!

Here’s a couple great tips: use the negative of the image you punch from vintage book paper to become its own embellishment. This red heart looks gorgeous against the book paper! Also, layer smaller bits of ephemera, such as this sticker, vintage ticket and book paper punch out, and “adhere” with a Making Memories Gem Pin (included in the kit). As its a bulkier embellishment, adhere to your card or tag with hot glue.

The young girls even made valentines. Here’s a pic of my sweet Miss Meghan and her simple Valentine card.

Make the party run smoothly by taking the time to “prep” the supplies, and creating a crafting station. An old muffin tin makes for a great organizer of little embellies such as gems, tickets, flowers and brads. A crafting station also helps keep the work table clutter free!

And, don’t forget the treats! Crafting valentines works up an appetite! 🙂

There’s still time to host your own Valentine party, and the Valentine Creativity Kit is a great way to start! Need a card idea from this kit? Here’s a recipe card to help get the party started!

Have a fun time with crafting with friends!
