We’ve got a “charming” post for you today! I have to say, I love how paper-crafting is reaching out to other markets, and how paper-crafters are reaching out and trying new things. I am no exception, and this week, I tried jewelry making. Granted, its pretty simple “jewelry making”, but I love how this necklace turned out. So much so, in fact, I made several of these for us to wear in the booth at CHA.
These little charm frames are so quick and easy to use, give you that sense of instant gratification, and are a great way to show off paper. I think our new paper line looks great in it! For the Friends center pendant, I trimmed out the title from the collage paper, placed it in a metal frame and covered with Crystal Effects. Dries great!
One thing that impresses me about this new paper line, is the thickness of the paper. It is not thick like cardstock, so you can actually create these layers, without adding lots of bulk. These charms closed up in a snap!
Of course, I also enjoyed adding vintage button dangles, beautiful beads, and even a bobbin!
