Spooky Treat Envelopes

Happy Tuesday, and 9 more days until Halloween!

Holy cow, where did this month go???

Here’s another project idea from the Halloween Treats & Tags kit-spooky treat envelopes!

I love the size of these-tall and narrow. These are approximately 4 inches wide and 7 inches tall, and really came together quite quickly. To add a bit more texture, as this project is simply mostly layering paper, I stitched the images to the larger background cardstock with a zig zag stitch. Simple, but it does add a little something extra!

I then stitched the cardstock to some scrap sheet music (I’m thinking newspaper would be really neat too…), folded down the top and added a button.

These envelopes could hold a couple of freshly baked cookies, but if you want a non-sweet treat, how about slipping a few movie tickets inside, for a special night out to a scary movie? Or, even a gift card to a favorite teacher. These envelopes say it all unto themselves-you don’t even need a card for these envelopes!

If you enjoy all of the spooky (and vintage!)  fun this kit offers, but sure to visit our new Etsy store! There’s still some time to make Halloween extra special! 🙂

Happy creating!
