Happy Friday! I hope you had a wonderful, wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends, and made lots of new memories. 🙂 I so enjoy how Thanksgiving truly is a day to spend quality time with those you love, and hopefully share a bit of calm before the busyness of the Christmas season.
Which speaking of, I think my craft room has turned into Santa’s workshop! It is so much fun creating for Christmas with all sorts of vintage materials. I’m sure all of you can agree!
I definitely have a weakness for chubby retro Santas. They are just so cheerful!
Every year, we host a caroling party, and hand-made ornaments are our “party favor” to our friends. This is our 4th year, and I have to admit, I was struggling with ideas, until I came upon this sweet Santa image from a vintage comic book.
Layered over patterned cardstock, and trimmed with tinsel ribbon and glitter, this Santa is all set to adorn the tree! Now, to just make a dozen of these…
And, more Santas! These mesh stockings are certainly retro, and a festive treat for your holiday table. In the past, I’ve put these on the backs of the dining room chairs filled with candies, trinkets and occasionally, a lottery ticket. Also a great way to wrap a gift card! These stockings are also available in my Etsy store. You can find them HERE. 🙂
