Fabric Ribbons & Vintage Trimmings

ribbons 1Hello,

I hope you are enjoying your week!

School starts for the kiddos in a couple weeks.  It’ll be a flurry of activity in getting ready for that, but in the meantime, I’ll take the extra time in the craft room. 🙂

I love antique wooden spools, and use them in my craft room to store special ribbons and vintage garlands of tinsel.  But, its been nagging at me for a while now to actually use them in a project.  In keeping with ribbon storage, I created fabric ribbon made from a strip of linen and colorful fabric scraps, and made it a bit chubby with pretty embellishments.

A little tag, and a dangle of crystals adds some bling and a scrap of tulle ribbon keeps it all together. Really a fun way to highlight some favorite fabrics and special embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful rest of the week!

Happy Creating,

I love your stuff was wondering if you are going to reopen your store. I enjoyed looking through it and am upset that I did not purchase but at the time the funds were not there because of medical reasons. They brought back wonderful memories from my childhood though. Thanks for the blogs and have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Jami, thank you so much for the note, and for following the blog. 🙂
I’m so glad you enjoyed the store. I would very much like to bring it back, but unfortunately do not have as much time to maintain it as I did before. I do hope to add a few items to my Etsy store though in the near future and will certainly let everyone know when that happens.

Thank you again, and I hope you had a great weekend!
