Vintage Apron Love

One of my favorite things about Dimestore Vogue is the darling images of the retro ladies. They remind me of my mom and grandmother during the years I was a child. Isn’t it funny that I don’t ever remember my mom wearing pants or shorts when I was young?  She had so many pretty sundresses, and lots of aprons. I still love looking at them! They bring back memories of baking cookies after school, or celebrating the holidays. Recently, I acquired my first apron. I love it, but always forget to put it on!!! I guess it’s because I’m always rolling in from work and rushing to make dinner. I need to remind myself to use it. I want my son to have the same warm memories associate with aprons as I do.

I found some really cute vintage aprons online and thought I’d share. Love this one from Jessica Steele.

Love this one from Ballyhoovintage.com.

This one from StitchThruTime is so sweet…

And I’d take ANY of these from Ebay!

There’s just so much to love about vintage aprons – the colors, the patterns, the styles… the same reasons why I love Dimestore Vogue!

Here’s a card that I made using the collection.

I used one of the tags and some of the paper as a base. I added some posies and twine, which can also be found in the store. There’s one of my favorite ladies!

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my ‘Apron Love’ with you! Have a great day.~Anabelle

I don’t think people wear aprons much anymore. But these should certainly make them want to start!
