Time for a Party

My cousins little girl turns 3 this month.. so as I was looking at the fun papers and tags from the “Party Games” Collection….. I started thinking 🙂    These papers are so fun , what if I made used them to create something other than “wrapping” with them , so she would have something to keep, and use.  I found this tin piece in my “alterables” box to just waiting  be up-cycled. Perfect!    All I had to do was cover the front with the fun paper… because the paper does all the work for me.  It’s already put together in a great design!

Now… to make a card to go with it.  I’m a dog lover, so you can only imagine this darling little pup is one of my very favorite images from the line.  Isn’t he CUTE!  I love the way he is holding his paw, so I decided he should have a balloon in it.  I punched a hole in my card, and added one of the round Chunky buttons to the inside of the card, so it showed through the hole.   Inside the button, I added the number 3 (cut from the papers), since this will be lexi’s third birthday.

I used Pink Sorbet baker’s twine for my balloon string.

Now my gift container can be used for her to take some small toys along in the car, or to the doctors office, ect..         Time to add some toys!

I think she’ll like it 🙂     Hard for me to believe this little sweetie has grown so much since this photo ( which I had to share because it just melts my heart).

Happy 3rd Birthday to Lexi !

Have a great week!   Vicki

Love the baker’s twine for the balloon string! And the handled metal box is inspired – she can carry her treasures everywhere! So cute the way you decorated it.
