Hello everyone, and welcome to the VSM Valentine Challenge day two! I made a couple of cards using the delicious goodies for the challenge. Really, it isn’t much of a challenge to find fun, cute things to make with VSM products. They are so versatile to work with, you can really go wild! Again, to recap what was used, we were given VSM paper dolls, cardstock from the Family Fun Kit, the brand new spectacular bingo cards, and twirly twine in pink and red. We also received a bag filled with vintage valentine goodies.
For this card I covered a folded piece of cardstock with tinted tape in aged, and then layered the other elements over it.
Hope you have a great Valentines Day, and be sure to check back every day this week for more inspiration!
First, I would like to wish everyone a very happy new year. Second, congratulations to all the talented ladies who will be joining the design team. Well, here we are at the begining of a new year so I wanted to share a calendar that I created using the fun goodies from the Party Games kit:
I always like to start the new year off with a new calendar (yes, I know there are calendars for all kinds of media) I like the good old fashioned paper calendar. This calendar is a little different though, it’s for birthdays! You could also create your own simply by cutting cardstock sheets to 4″x12″ and binding at the top. Here are some close up pics so you can see all the super cute embellies from the Party Games kit:
To create the fringe at the top I cut 4 pieces of yellow crepe paper from the kit 2″ wide x 4″ long. I layered them together and stitched down the middle. I used fringe scissors and cut just to the stitching. Then I crumpled it up, straightened it out and fluffed up the layers. Fun! Hope this brings a little inspiration to kick start your new year.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. I created this wall hanging to bring a little vintage holiday cheer into my home this season:
I used 4 6×6″ pieces of chipboard for the base. I used a sheet of paper from the family fun kit that looks like lined paper to cover the chipboard pieces. Next, I used platinum stickles on the edges of each chipboard panel. I punched holes in the corners of each chipboard piece and attached the panels together with candy cane striped pipe cleaners. All embellishments are from a VSM Vintage Christmas Kit (these kits are packed with true vintage goodies, contents may vary). I used the aqua blue foil from the Dimestore Vogue paper kit to make the scalloped border at the bottom and the rosettes. This was so fun, and really relaxing to create in the middle of all the crazy holiday stress.
Next I created a gift bag for a hostess gift using a brown paper lunch bag as a template:
Take apart a brown paper bag and use it as your template. Use the red foil paper from the VSM party games kit and cut a rectangle the same dimensions as your paper bag. Following the fold lines on the paper bag, measure and score your foil. Fold it up, glue it together at the seams and embellish. I used embellishments from a VSM vintage Christmas kit, and a paper doll from the family fun kit.
Have a Merry Vintage Christmas Everyone!

Hi all, I hope your enjoying your holiday season! I thought I would share this little holiday tree I made using some super fabulous festive goodies from the VSM vintage christmas store and papers from the Dimestore Vogue kit (blue foil), and the Party Games kit (polka dot).
The foil reflector star and plastic starburst ornament were also from the vintage Christmas items, as was the red and white tissue fringe. I took a foam tree and used hot glue to adhere two inch wide strips of foil paper and polka dot paper in layers starting at the bottom and working my way to the top. I pushed the topper into the foam and glued the tissue paper fringe around the top. Next I cut the greeting phrase from a vintage Christmas card and used stickles around the edges for a little holiday sparkle. I adhered that to the tree as shown, and voila, a super cute and fast retro tree decoration. Here are a few more photos. Hope you will try one!
Happy vintage holidays!
Here is a scrapbook page I made using the Party Games Paper Kit. This kit is just so stinkin’ cute and versatile. You can use it for school themes, birthday parties, anything you can dream up. I have been waiting for just the perfect paper to come along for these cute pics of my daughter (now age 12) at her Kindergarten open house. Let’s just say I’m not caught up on my scrapbooking, lol. The pennant banner at the top, the letters for the title and the background paper are from the Dimestore Vogue Kit. Everything else is from the Party Games kit. I also used the numbers tape from VSM. Oh, did I mention, the Tinted Tape from VSM was one of the top ten favorite products in the Creating Keepsakes Magazine? Pretty Cool!
