memory keeper…
I have long been a fan of shadow boxes. The idea of keeping a memory on display in a beautiful way, makes home decorating even more meaningful. We were challenged this month to use a beautiful shadow box frame sent to us in conjunction with some products from Vintage Street Market. I chose to use the Dimestore Vogue collection as it fits in perfectly with my craft space.

I painted my frame with celery acrylic paint, then a light coating of antique white, and then distressed it with distress ink. I love the shabby, pale blue it turned out to be.
I used Dimestore Vogue paper as my background topped by a vintage Bingo card, doily, and then a Dimestore Vogue die cut layered with coordinating paper and vintage buttons. This project made me take a look at the things I have on hand…things I love and treasure as some have memories attached…and then incorporate them into my decor to surround myself with my favorite bits and bobs of history.
Thanks for visiting.

Retro Easter…
The Easter Retro Vintage Kit is so much fun…

It’s packed with all things spring, and seeing as how spring never quite lasts long enough, I love enjoying it through paper, embellishments, trinkets, etc. The signs and symbols of spring are some of my favorite…you’ll find something you love and that takes you back to your childhood in this sweet kit.

For this project, I used the kit to create a couple of handmade tags that fit snug inside a glassine envelope dressed up in more vintage findings you’ll find in the kit. I adore glassine envelopes…they seem to have such a sweet elegance and are a perfect place to display you handmade treats.
Happy Spring!

vintage street market sweets…
We made a fresh batch of cookies last night…today needing to share some with a friend. I love thinking up new ways to give treats away…inexpensively of course, and today I bring you a strawberry basket full of Chocolate Chip Cookies…you can whip one of these up in a hurry.
All you need is a strawberry basket or small container and scraps and dies from the Dimestore Vogue collection.
Attach a strip of the Dimestore Vogue paper around the inside edge of the basket, followed by trim that peeks up just above the paper, and finally, a strip of Kraft crepe ruffles also found in the Dimestore Vogue collection.
Buttons, real and die cut, dress up the outside edge, followed by a stamped die cut ticket tied to the center of a bow. Fill with a dress pattern tissue paper, cookies, and enjoy!
Happy Monday!

wrap it up…
Wrap it up Dimestore Vogue style….I just love this collection…the gingham, Kraft crepe paper, vintage buttons, sewing tape, etc. Today’s project uses some left over bits I had on hand to quickly make a package look pretty…and then a little something extra.
I wrapped up a small jewelry box using the Dimestore Vogue paper, created a band from vintage sheet music and trim, and then created a bow using more Dimestore Vogue paper and the Kraft crepe paper. A super quick and inexpensive gift wrap alternative.

For an added little treat, I wrapped a vintage spool with the pink sewing tape paper…
…added some crocheted flowers on top, and attached a large pin to the backside of the die cut Diva, inserted it through the flowers and into the hole on the spool to create a stand of sorts to display the Diva, a photo, a handmade card, etc.
I love the fresh, spring feel of the blue gingham paper and the tiny pink flowers on the die cut…hope your day is beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by.

get your party hat on…
There is so much to love about Vintage Street Market’s Party Games Collection....I love the vibrant colors, textures, and elements reminiscent of a few of my favorite childhood games.
I have a couple of projects to share with you today using this new collection…perfect for a big birthday bash for your little one.
You can spy a bit of the fun new Linen Tinted Tape used on this wall hanging as well…I love this stuff!
One last creation for you…with a bit of shimmer and nostalgia…

I created a crepe paper ruffle using the paper included in this collection…a shimmer scalloped border also using paper found in this collection…and then added the Numbers Tinted Tape for an added bit of character.
It’s like having a party each time I open up my Party Games Collection package….so many fun treats waiting to be discovered and used. What will you create with it?
Thanks for visiting.
