We have a new baby boy in our office!  Finally, we had 7 girls and now have a boy and another on the way.  To shower the little guy with love I created this card with VSM papers and ephemera!

Here is a list of the super cute supplies I used:

Vintage Ephemera Flowers

Sometimes when I am at work, I take a small project with me that evolves. This is a great project to do on a break or at lunchtime, or perhaps while you are on a conference call!

Supplies:

EK Success flower punch, Vintage Paper Ephemera – be sure your paper is not brittle, so it will withstand punching.   If it is brittle, save it for a canvas or other project.  Kraft paper 1 1/2 inch circle. Distress inks in your favorite colors, Tacky Glue (my bottle is well loved).  I also added Glimmer Mist in Italian Sunset, when I got home.

Punch strips for the flowers from the vintage paper. Adhere together by gluing petals together at the ends.  You will have a long, straight line of petals.  I rolled my flower around a pencil, very tightly.  After your flower is rolled, put a lot of tacky glue or you can use Glubers on the Kraft circle.  Allow it to dry slightly.  Loosen up your rolled flower until it has the thickness and look you like and attach to the glue on the circle.  Let dry.  Once it is dry, you can begin fussing with the petals to give the full look.  When I was happy with the look, I added concord grape and tea stain distress inks.

When I got home, I decided I wanted a little more color and aged look, so I added some glimmer mist.  When it was dry, I attached it to the lid of my new citronella candle.  Now when my candle is on the table, before it is lit, I think it still looks cute!

Paper Ephemera and Home Decorating

Welcome spring and vintage into your home now!  My house needed a little freshening up, so I decided to make a new photo frame decoration.  I used a music page from the Retro Easter Kit, a bingo card, Attic Treasures Mini Flashcards, and various paper ephemera.  The beautiful lace can also be found at Vintage Street Market

So simple to make.  I layered everything onto an eight by ten piece of card stock.  Before the final gluing down, I checked the placement on my frame that I found on sale.  I removed the glass to save for another project or cutting on.    This would make a sweet item for a guest room or as a focal point of any sunny spot in your home.

Happy St Patrick’s Day from Vintage Street Market!

May each of you have a blessed St. Patrick’s Day!

What better day for a fun vintage fusion canvas.  This canvas features tons of paper ephemera, stickles, and mini ledger letters from the Vintage Street Market store, a shamrock punched from Bingo Craft Cards, and my wild Irish imagination!

I love the size of this canvas ( 6inches x 12 inches) for fun household decor.  Here are some close ups of the detail.  Lots of Mod Podge was used, along with gecko colored paint and Liquitex white opaque flakes “painted” with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist.

Here are some close ups:

Have a beautiful St. Patrick’s Day!

An Irish Prayer
May God give you…
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.
