An oddball pairing..

Hi! Cherry here, and I have an oddball pairing for you today.  I say oddball because they are completely different projects…..  I have a sweet “vintagey” plaque perfect for a friend! It uses the bingo cards, twirly twine, crate paper toy box, stick pins , and garment pins along with a sweet diecut from the Dimestore Vogue.

The other project is a fun little treat bag all gussied up for Halloween.  I have used the bingo cards again, the polka dot Meghan Kay paper from the family fun kit, and more twirly twine.  I also used a sweet paper buckle diecut from Dimestore Vogue.

have a good weekend,

Cherry

Hi there!  How is your summer going?   I am popping in today to share a few new creations made with some delightful new goodies from http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/ .  They have added a lot of new items to the store.  Had fun playing and was obviously in a pink mood.  I made two cards that are  soft and nostalgic.  I used fine glitter on both cards..the first is a gift enclosure style card…..the envelope is perfect for tucking a note inside or a gift card for someone’s birthday.  The other is just a simple card perfect for a friend or a child’s birthday.   I had so much fun creating these…hope you enjoy!  Be sure to check out the store!  hugs, cherry

shabby summer goodies

Hi there and happy summer to you!  Cherry here to share a couple cards made with a few Vintage Street Market goodies of course.   I started off picking out some paper scraps and decided to use the http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/craft-pantry-staples/products/denim-twirly-twine journal cards and mini tags from the back of the Twirly twine packages for layering.  I used stitching to add a homespun touch to both cards and used the ledger paper from the family fun kit http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/family-fun-collection/products/family-fashion-accessory-kit-1 on my aqua colored card.  I also used the multi-use papers from the Dimestore vintage kit http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/paper-sheets-tags/products/dimestore-vogue  for my pink birthday card by layering the sheets and cutting them into strips and than sewing down the middle.  I than cut in on each side and created my own paper fringe and circled it around to create a shabby bloom.  Other than that I just added a few goodies from my stash to create two one of a kind cards…ready for the recepients!  Hpe you enjoy and are inspired to mix and match your VSM goodies with your paper scraps!   hugs, cherry… Read the rest

Hello to ya!  Can you believe it is June already?   This month the VSM team was challenged to use the  http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/paper-sheets-tags multi- use paper sheets and tags.  Using them in a new and fun way!  They are so easy to use and very versatile.   I decided to create a gift pack of sorts…..I made a paper bag envelope I stitched up the side and than created two cards that sweetly tuck perfectly inside!  The paper bag itself has the http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/paper-sheets-tags/products/dimestore-vogue dimestore vintage multi-use paper on it as well as a fun bingo card from the pantry staple goodies  for some added interest http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/craft-pantry-staples.  I layered them with a pair of old scissors that I painted and topped it off with some of the diecut buttons from the diecut sheet…I also fussy cut some of the buttons out from the actual multi-use paper.  I wanted them to be like real buttons so I used a husband poker and made holes and wound burlap twine through each one and than adhered to the envelope.  I added some ribbons in several colors and a vintage spool was the last touch.   I than wound some yummy twirly twine http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/craft-pantry-staples/products/brown-twirly-twine around the whole pocket and added a gingham posy and a couple of tags.

The cards keep with the theme by using more pantry staple bingo cards in brown….and I used some scraps from my bin for my papers.   They worked so well with the Dimestore vintage collection!  I used some scraps from my manilla folders for the tops…and stamped part of my sentiments there.   I added some decorative stitching and added layers with diecuts and doilies.   The fun part though was using the multi-use paper for my main images…one card I made a heavily layered shabby bloom by diecuttig the papers..and adding snippets of old lace and coffee filters.  The other I fussy cut an image of one of the dress forms from the pattern side.  I wanted it to be more like a mannequin and so I stamped the base of one and than made the dress form 3-d with foam adhesive.  I added buttons and ribbons…and a small tissue flower…and that was that!  This will be a fun gift for any sewing lover!   Thanks for letting me share!  hugs, cherry… Read the rest

Bingo Cards three diffrent ways..

Happy May to you all!  cherry here to share three cards all different but with one similarity..they all use a pantry staple the sweet bingo cards http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/frontpage.

The first I used some diecuts, a banner and cake diecut, and changed the bingo card into embellishment pieces.   I also used some of the papers from the family set http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/family-fun-collection/products/family-fun-paper-kit that coordinate perfectly with the aqua bingo card.   I added a few little bits and bobs from my stash and I was done.  The second card is for Mother’s day which is just around the corner.  I used more paper from the http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/family-fun-collection/products/family-fun-paper-kit and a snippet of the multi-use paper from the Dimestore Vogue collection http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/products/dimestore-vogue.  I used my bingo card this time like a button card….I added a vintage button card layered with it and an old needle.  I painted a little spool and wrapped some twirley twine around it http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/twirly-twine.  Again all it took was a few little bits and pieces…ribbons, stick pins, and a little tag..and this card was complete.

My last card is my favorite….it uses the gorgeous red bingo card.  I tried to make the card look a bit like an old essay journal with the black gingham paper being the “spine”.  The bingo cards come in many sizes and this one is a nice large size.  I took a chipboard apple and covered it in some adorable checker paper from the Family Fun set http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/family-fun-collection/products/family-fun-paper-kit.  I distressed and inked the apple and adhered it.  I added a burlap leaf and a few bits and bobs and of course more twirly twine!  I also added a few old vintage button s layered on one of the old dennison labels from one of the vintage kits http://store.vintagestreetmarket.com/collections/vintage-kits.   There you have it!  The bingo cards are very versatile….cards are just the tip of the iceburg!  Have fun with those bingo cards!  Thanks as always for letting me share!  hugs, cherry… Read the rest
