It’s a Party!
Hello, everyone!
Julie here again with a little something from the “Party Games” Paper Sheets & Tags set…

My sweet daughter Chelsea’s 7th birthday party back in 1996…

(Chelsea is sitting in the upholstered chair…)
…my little girl is right now starting her career as an elementary school teacher…where do the years go?!

There’s alot going on here on this page…but that’s what I wanted…all the color and craziness of a 7 year-old’s birthday party! Love these banner pieces from the Tag Sheet! The “Numbers” Tinted Tape was just perfect for a border at the top…

A vintage Bingo card from the “Vintage Circus Mini Kit”, a large circle cut from the bright red foil sheet included in the “Party Games” kit…

…and a little label backed with a square cut from the fabulous aqua foil sheet included in the “Dimestore Vogue” Paper Sheets & Tags kit…
One of the “Chunky Buttons“, tied with “Pink Sorbet” Baker’s Twine and some fun “streamers” made with a variety of ribbons and Baker’s Twine…
A couple of party tags from the Tags sheet, and the whole thing finished off with a row of pleated yellow crepe paper from the kit, stitched together with more of the “Pink Sorbet” Baker’s Twine.
All these sweet little kiddos are in college now….my, how time flies!
Thanks for stopping by today–See you soon!

Send in the Clowns…
Hi, everyone!
Julie here, with another project using Vintage Street Market’s VERY fun “Party Games” Paper Sheets & Tags Kit…
There are so many wonderful things you can do with these kits…but don’t forget…you can also wrap a gift with this fabulous paper!
I used paper from the kit, along with some fun pieces from the “Vintage Circus” Mini Kit…they work perfectly together!

For a birthday with a circus theme…so easy to have fun with all the elements in these two kits! A few touches of Platinum Stickles, also available in the shop, add a bit of sparkle and dimension to anything it touches…

I love the little stacking men that come in the “Vintage Circus” kit…perfect for balancing a pair of shiny “barbells”! I also used one of the fabulously retro light reflectors sold in the shop…a perfect base for this balancing act!

Let these kits bring out the kid in you…they’ll take you back to your childhood and you’ll be clowning around in no time, I promise!
Have fun!

You’re a Star!
A circus star! Decorate a simple wooden star with the vintage circus kit. How fun would this be attached to a gift bag, dangling from a door knob or given directly as a gift card holder? Definitely multi-purpose!
Simply cover the star, using craft glue, with red cardstock and vintage book paper, and trim the excess. A bit of glitter adds some extra sparkle. The little pocket was made from a vintage game card cut down to size, and the flower was punched from vintage book paper-a vintage clear bingo token completes it.
The pocket is filled with a vintage circus card and vintage flash card. A colorful chunky button, found here, completes the tab.
Loving all of the bright colors found in this kit!
Happy creating!
Michelle
Circus theme party
It’s birthday time! What should the theme be?
I think a great theme that kids would still enjoy is circus. There is nothing quite like the excitement of going to the circus. This little birthday card was made using the vintage Circus kit which can be found HERE. It has everything you need to make something extra festive.
The sweet little elephant is actually cut from one of the vintage circus cards that is included in the kit, which I just layered on the vintage die cut that is also included (styles will vary from each kit). Using fine glitter, I glittered up the BINGO letters and added a birthday greeting to a luggage tag. The vintage yarn and crepe adds extra pops of color and really makes the card look festive.
Now on to party favors!
Remember in the 70s how it was popular to make clown cupcakes out of ice cream cones? I’ll have to find a picture of that and post it! I remember how one year one of my friends had these treats at his birthday party and I thought it was just the greatest thing. This little cone is inspired from those cone cupcakes. The cone itself was made from ivory cardstock. I then cut the clown image from one of the circus cards and glued it in the center. By running a strip of adhesive from an adhesive runner, I was able to crimp and press the crepe ruffle to the top.
A little red pom pom makes the clown’s nose!
I took a strip of crepe and fringed one side, then wrapped it around the tip of the cone to make a tassel. The paper flowers were punched from the vintage book paper and the centers are the fun vintage bingo tokens that are also included in the kit. Of course, glitter makes everything sparkle!!!
What a fun party this would be!
Happy Friday! Get vintage crafty this weekend!!!
Michelle
