In Record Time
I’m a garage sale addict–I admit it! “Junkin’”, my girls & I call it. Treasures galore just waiting to be found–and on one Saturday morning, a stack of old ’45′s came home with me…and one of them found itself turned into a gift this week…
A sweet paper doll was given a dress made of chocolately crepe paper. Flowers in her hand, she sits on the little old ’45 whose center has been newly covered with gorgeous aqua foil paper & a vintage “buckle”. Easy peasy & oh, so much fun!
Supplies:
Family Fun Kit, Dimestore Vogue Paper Sheets & Tags Kit, Platinum Stickles, Twirly Twine, Ribbon
Spring Flowers
Good morning, all! Julie here, with a little project just perfect for a sweet springtime tag for a special gift.
Spring has been so beautiful here lately–I’ve been out in the garden, the windows are open–flowers on my mind…
…so what better than a little flower “basket”?! SO easy peasy to make! I just drew my own basket shape–about an 1/8″ bigger on the sides & bottom than I wanted it to be–scored those sides, folded & voila!
Stuffed with pretty little flowers, it made the perfect little tag to give for Mother’s Day, May Day–or any day!
Wishing you all beautiful Spring days ahead!

Ephemera Journal Part II
Julie here again, with more of my ephemera journal to share with you–be warned–there’s LOTS of pages today!
With so many wonderful vintage papers & elements to work with, it was easy to go a little crazy making this little book of mine…
…page after page of vintage fabulousness to write and doodle on…
…or just leave as-is. Maybe I’ll write on it later, maybe not. It’s still fun!
As I said in my last post on my journal, I used ephemera from Vintage Street Market’s Ephemera kits, some of my own that I had on hand, and vintage images found online & printed out–these ladies are great favorites of mine!
Pockets and envelopes were fun to add onto pages…
…even an old manila tag with the string still attached worked it’s way onto one of the pages…
I hope you feel inspired to start a journal of your own–I can’t tell you how much fun you’ll have!
And once you start making your own art journals, you just may never be able to stop!

Ephemera Journal
I just have to warn you…this will be a bit long today! So much to share, and it’s only half of my little project!
I wanted to do something special this month with all the delicious vintage ephemera available from Vintage Street Market, and I decided to do what I love best–art journal it.
My current passion, art journaling lends itself to many forms–there is no right or wrong when making a journal of your very own–and making one completely out of beautiful, old pieces of paper from the past was just about the most fun I’ve ever had!
Since old ephemera varies in thickness and delicacy, I decided to bolster each page with a good, sturdy piece of cardstock–each 5×7 inches. Then I just covered each and every piece with a variety of vintage pieces…I cut & ripped, pasted & played…
Then, favorite vintage images that I’ve saved on the computer were printed out to add a bit of character to each page–my favorite thing to do.
Then laces, Twirly Twine, buttons and bows were added…
…then the writing, of course! What would a journal be without writing your thoughts, favorite poems & bits of advice?
It doesn’t take much to turn a little book like this into a treasure to keep–something of your very own…
I can’t wait to show you the rest next time!

Bunny Greetings
Easter is just around the corner, you know–time to hop to it! I had a few tags & things to get ready before that special weekend arrives, and spent one morning this weekend focusing on just that…
Here’s an easy-peasy tag for that special some”bunny”–with all the perfect vintage elements right in front of me, it came together lickety-split!
Using a vintage math flash card as a base, I layered on top of it a bit of shiny aqua foil, a pink Bingo card & a sweet little bunny–all that was left to do was to add a few elements–a bit of lace, gold tinsel, Twirly Twine & tissue paper garland, topped of by a flower with the perfect little vintage button placed on top…
A vintage ticket with a few alphabet stickers was just the thing to finish off this little Easter tag–
Wishing you lots of fun as you enjoy this beautiful Easter season!
