Spring Party~Part 1
Hi everyone, Connie here with party invites!!! For the past couple of years my granddaughter hosts a Spring Party~she is 8 years old. All the duties are given out and mine are to make decorations and bring kid treats.
So here are the invitations, for them!!! I used the Bingo Craft cards, Twirly Twine, Tinted Tape and some vintage fusion!!!
I used the Cakewalk~Guest List paper by October Afternoon to make the little fold out invitations. They are taped together with the Tinted Tape. Stay tuned in a couple of weeks I’ll have the rest of the decorations up and all photographed together!! Until then~

Celebrate Your Day
April is here! I am starting see floral blooms and patches of green grass. The birds are out making nests and I hope to see a few nests with little babies soon.
My card for today is for my Mom’s birthday next week. I love mixing vintage ephemera with new products.
I created a pocket with tag for the front. I then used a flashcard for the sentiment. The pennant was created from red foil and a vintage ticket is inserted in the photo slide. I hope you like!
Wishing my Mom a wonderful birthday!
Happy Spring!

Ephemera Journal
I just have to warn you…this will be a bit long today! So much to share, and it’s only half of my little project!
I wanted to do something special this month with all the delicious vintage ephemera available from Vintage Street Market, and I decided to do what I love best–art journal it.
My current passion, art journaling lends itself to many forms–there is no right or wrong when making a journal of your very own–and making one completely out of beautiful, old pieces of paper from the past was just about the most fun I’ve ever had!
Since old ephemera varies in thickness and delicacy, I decided to bolster each page with a good, sturdy piece of cardstock–each 5×7 inches. Then I just covered each and every piece with a variety of vintage pieces…I cut & ripped, pasted & played…
Then, favorite vintage images that I’ve saved on the computer were printed out to add a bit of character to each page–my favorite thing to do.
Then laces, Twirly Twine, buttons and bows were added…
…then the writing, of course! What would a journal be without writing your thoughts, favorite poems & bits of advice?
It doesn’t take much to turn a little book like this into a treasure to keep–something of your very own…
I can’t wait to show you the rest next time!
Julie

Easter Wishes
Hey all! Amy here and I am back as promised with an altered Easter project to share. I started with a vintage ice cream cup and then began building.
I added tissue paper garland around the edges then layered tinsel garland with aqua Twirly Twine on top. Next I used May Arts red twill stripes ribbon to make a bow and then added two paper flowers. I added a vintage bingo marker for the center.
For the banner, I painted wooden skewers and attached handmade finials from beads. I tied aqua Twirly Twine to the skewers and then added three red foil triangles from Party Games Paper Sheets and Tags. Next, I punched holes in a fare ticket stub and added to the right skewer. I then used a sticker sentiment backed on a Jillibean pattern paper. I attached the skewers to the inside of the cup with tape.
I love the way it came out and especially like that it is not the traditional colors of Spring. I challenged myself with that for a bit. Finally I filled my cup with a little Easter grass and a pale blue egg. I think these cups are perfect for birthdays, other holidays, or even a special pick me up. I hope this inspires you!
