Beautiful Ballerinas

vintage-ballerina-1Good morning!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend…maybe got a little crafting in?

I want to share with you this little project I made using retro ballerina cupcake toppers and a mini tart pan. I just love these little pans, as they make the perfect shadow box. What a great place to highlight a little something! And these ballerinas are just so sweet. They remind me so much of the little plastic ballerina that would twirl in my jewelry box as a little girl. Remember those???

vintage-ballerina-2I’ve made these before as Christmas ornaments using the more glamorous vintage silver and gold ballerinas. This ornament looks like something out of the Nutcracker doesn’t it?

wish ballerinaBut, for this time of year, these lovely spring colors are just the thing! I have attached a vintage lace ribbon to the top-it will make a great ornament for a Valentine’s Day tree, or will also look whimsical on top of a gift.

vintage-ballerina-4These sweet ballerinas are all packaged up and are now in the Etsy store. You can find them HERE. And, you don’t have to be a ballerina to enjoy them!

Retro Christmas Stockings-Christmas in July continued

1 Comment | Leave a new comment

Well, Summer is just moving along, and in just a few short months, the holiday season will be upon us! Get a jump start now to plan how you will make your holiday traditions more distinctive this year.

One way, is to wrap your special gifts in a retro inspired Christmas stocking, now available in the Vintage Street Gift Market. This red mesh stocking is reminiscent of the ones that were available at the local Woolworths, or other drug stores, filled with small plastic toys and candies.

The stocking has a festive retro insert, creating a fun backdrop to your gift, and is closed off by a true retro Santa image.

Wouldn’t these look super cute on the back of each chair for Christmas morning breakfast??

Happy creating,

Michelle

Where is the sunshine……cloudy here…and on the first day of Summer too! Bummer!   I have a fun little colorful number to share with you made for Vintage Street Market.  I used papers from Crate paper and the family fun paper kit. .   I had fun creating my own sunshine using a wood circle that I stamped my sentiment onto and added “rays” too using some paper scraps and a bingo craft card .  I topped it off with a vintage red button.  I added some diecut clouds for dimension and ribbons of course.   I love the bright happy look to this…and of course the red and aqua.  I never tire of this combo…one of my very favorites.  Hope it is shining sunshine where ever you are! Happy Summer to you all.  hugs, cherry
