Quick and easy Gift inspiration
Hello Everyone! Vicki here. Today I thought I’d share with you how easy it is to make fun projects with VSM goodies..that aren’t extremely time consuming. The papers and tags can really do all the work for you. Some times you just need a card or gift bag in a pinch. You love the idea of giving something handmade but.. TIME.. there’s sometimes just not enough of it. We’ve all been there. Well, no fear. Let the papers do the work for you. I chose to use Dimestore Vogue for these projects.
Even a simple brown lunch bag can make a darling gift bag with the help of these cute papers and tags.
And of course a matching card. Some stitching ( or faux stitching done with a tracing wheel) and some foam squares for some dimension and tah dah..
Up-cycle jars, paint the lid, fill it with goodies and tie a fun Tag from the Dimestore Vogue line on with Twirly Twine. A simple but heartfelt gift for a friend who has helped you out in a pinch? Teacher gift?
Gift giving is always fun, but now and then I find that I have a real need for something myself. Something I’ve been needing is a place to keep all my passwords for different websites ect… Why have a boring old note pad ..when I can have something fun on my desk? haha So, I made a quick but sturdy notebook of sorts to set on my desk right by my computer. ( not as easy to misplace either
When I travel, this will be easy to take with me.
I used one of the new Bingo Craft Cards for my cover.
I added pieces from the Dimestore Vogue papers and tags to each of the pages, leaving plenty of room for the information I need to add.
Give yourself permission to ” quick craft” when you need to. Nothing is more personal than a handmade gift.. any way you look at it. Get the kids involved.. they’ll love it. What a great way to spend time together.
Thanks for stopping by!
A Jar Full of Love
We are starting off the Vintage Valentine Design Team Challenge with a sweet jar made by Vicki Chrisman. I just love projects displayed in jars-don’t you?
For this project, a Bingo Craft Card, is treated like a mini clipboard. Glued to a vintage wooden spool for extra support, a wooden clip is adhered to the card to hold a vintage photo. What a great idea!
Down to the smallest details, the mini spool is wrapped with vintage ribbon…
Love the crepe flower at the top of the jar! Pink Twirly Twine adds just the right finish to the vintage ticket and flower center.
What a great Valentine’s Day display to put together to decorate your home. Or, a great gift for a hostess or friend! A little jar of love!
Thank you Vicki!

Fun little gift bag
Hi Everyone!
Well today, I’m sharing a gift bag idea. For me… right now, it just feels good to have all the “Christmas” gift bags put away. lol But I always keep a plastic bin of plain bags in the closet. I love dressing up simple pain white or colored bags. The “Party Sheets and Tags”
are so fun for this.
I used my AccuCut die cutting machine to cut the scalloped edge on my yellow crepe sheet I used like tissue paper inside the bag.
I was going to just draw the balloon strings on the bag with a marker..but then I thought, .. hey I’ll use some of the fun colors of Bakers Twine.
I don’t have the gift yet..but at least I know I’m off to a good start, now that I have a fun bag to put it in.
Have a happy day!

Birthday buckaroo
Hello Everyone!
Today I thought I’d share with you a little “Western themed” Birthday treat box and card done with papers and this cute little cowboy from the Family Fun Paper kit.
This little box is an Accucut die. Th VSM papers are great for creating boxes because they are a really sturdy weight paper. I added the little cowboy to the top using 3D foam squares. The added dimension is really fun.
I also created this folded shirt card using the papers from the Family Fun Paper kit.
I’m thinking some rootbeer barrel candies in the box would be fun
I have a nephew who will be a birthday boy soon again before long.. and I think he just might like this. lol
He’s a pretty Cute little buck-a-roo

Gift Card Holders
I have been having so much fun creating things with the goodies in my “Classic Christmas Vintage Kit”. “Real” Vintage goodies, well that’s extra fun! I decided to use some of the things in my kit to create some special gift card holders .
I cut the little stocking below out of some red felt and did a little stitching, before starting the fun part… embellishing with the vintage goodness from the kit.
Here you can see the trims and embellishments up close.
For this card holder I reached in to my “to alter” bin in my storage closet. There are a number of different shapes and sizes of these tins out there, and many of them would work perfectly for gift card holders. I used one of the vintage book pages for the front of mine. I *LOVE* this image, don’t you?
This is how I dressed up the inside of the tin. I left room on the left to right a message.
Using these vintage treasures, certainly tends to make one feel nostalgic. ( well, it certainly does me). Nostalgic enough that it got me started looking through photos of Christmas’s past. I had to share this photo with you. It’s our boys when they were little, and it makes me smile!! Weston ( red head on the left) is now 29, Jarad ( the little guy) is now 25.
Oh.. the time goes by so quickly.
Here’s to another year of wonderful Christmas memories to cherish.
Vicki
