Red, White, Blue…and Summer Too!

Hello there, everybody…it’s Keri here, with a layout & altered jar to share with you.

First up today is a Red, White, and Blue layout…showcasing photos of my daughter at her school’s patriotic assembly this past year:

She was in charge of reading the account of Paul Revere’s Ride, and she was so excited & nervous!

I die-cut some thin stars with the red foil from the Party Games collection…it cuts so well, even with this thin, delicate shape!  The background paper & border are from the Family Fun collection.

I used several colors of twirly twine for the bow, and added some embossing+ink to the Bingo Card for a fun accent.

The dictionary paper from the  Vintage Ephemera kit was a perfect fit for this patriotic page, with words like “government, governance” and definitions including words like “British colonies.”  I loved adding this vintage touch to enhance the layout theme!

My next project is  a fun summer treat jar for my children:

I used my favorite little girl image from the Party Games collection here…showcasing her with a star foil frame (the negative space from my previous layout project).

More twirly twine & some crepe paper embellished the lid, along with a cute vintage milk cap from the VSM store.

Hope you enjoy these fun projects…let them inspire you to get crafting with twine, foil, crepe, and ephemera!… Read the rest
