Summer Colors
Hi there everyone! It’s Amy and I am back this month to share some red, white, and blue projects I made using VSM products. I only seem to use these color combos during the summer months, hence my post title. A lot of people think of soft pastels for this season but I am stuck on these and hope you like what I created for you today.
First is a card I made that could be used for a birthday, congratulations, or even holiday.
I punched stars using the shiny aqua foil from the Dimestore Vogue Paper Sheets and Tags. I also created a doily border for the top and bottom. The large red “notes” journalling card is from the red Twirly Twine package. I punched three scallop circles using the red gingham print from the Family Fun Paper Kit. I layered these on the stars and then added white buttons and red rhinestones. At the bottom I stapled a celebrate ticket from the denim Twirly Twine. To finish, I tied denim bows from Twirly Twine. Just wanted to mention that the Paper Sheets and Tags are on sale so grab them while you can! You can make so many crafty items with this kit that features gorgeous heavy weight paper, that includes multiple texture paper such as the crepe, plus everything you need to accent your project with die cuts and embellishments. Doesn’t get any easier than that!
My last card is a birthday card using the same color scheme.
I matted a piece from Family Fun Paper Kit to the left and then punched a red foil border using my Party Games Paper Sheets and Tags. I used a blue stripe paper from my scraps for the last panel on the card. I layered a Bingo card and wrapped red Twirly Twine around it and secured with a bow and button. A scrap piece of burlap was added with a celebrate ticket from the red Twirly Twine package for texture. The Twirly Twine packs are so fun with tickets and twine! A great value too! The die cut doll from the Family Fun Accessory Kit was adhered with dimensional dots and then I stamped a birthday sentiment to complete.
That’s my projects for the month of July. I hope you like and see you next month!
