Make A Wish Birthday Card & Smarties Candy Party Favor
Hello, Heidi here today and I have a couple of sweet little birthday projects to share with you using several of the products from Vintage Street Market. Speaking of products have you checked out all of the New products in the VSM Store? If not you should hop on over and take a look at all of the new goodies!
For my first project I designed this Make A Wish birthday card using one of the images from October Afternoon Cakewalk Candles pattern paper. To create the mats for the card I used ivory and pink lemonade cardstock and some die templates from Spellbinder. I also used an M-Bossabilities folder to emboss the sheet music pattern in the ivory paper. Then I edged the image with ivory lace trim and a pink ruffle trim and applied it to the card front.
To embellish the card I used a Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Memo Pins and I added a pink pearl and a heart charm to the pin. I also added a heart stick pin, ribbon rose and mulberry blossoms. Then for a little sparkle I added some diamond glitter to the image.

For my second project I made a Smarties candy party favor. I filled one of the little Glassine Envelopes with Smarties candy and then I attached the envelope to a die cut that I used for the base. To create the die cut I used Decorative Labels Eight die template from Spellbinders with an adhesive sheet, chipboard and a piece of pink decorative paper from the Dimestore Vogue Paper Sheets & Tags collection. Then I wrapped Pink Twirly Twine around the tag and bag and tied a bow.
To embellish the envelope I added Linen Tinted Tape, a Bingo Craft Card, a Tag from the Pink Twirly Twine and an image from October Afternoon Cakewalk Candles paper. I also added some lace and buttons.
