Contained Vintage
When a vintage doily becomes much more than a decorative place mat. Recently spent some time with my mother out and about trying to find estate sales when we came across a few vintage treasures. I don’t collect much, but when I saw large boxes of knitted doilies, fabric and buttons I fell in love. Today I used a few of my finds, many Vintage Street Market goodies and a little bit of this and that to create a gift container and tag.
It may go against the norm; however, I used my Sizzix circle die and doily find to create a layered flower on the top of the jar. Topped with a mulberry flower from VSM.
Used the bingo craft card to create a label, a ticket which I stamped for the tiny tag and vintage book paper to embellish the layers. So maybe die cutting something that was so finely knitted isn’t such a bad thing. Helped create a gift that is just perfect for someone special.
