Getting Ready for the Holidays

It is time to begin getting prepared for those special winter holidays.  Whatever your family traditions, you can find great products for cards and decorations at Vintage Street Market.  Both of these cards were made using the Family Fun Paper Pack and May Arts Ribbon.  I love the vintage feel for my holiday cards and the paper dolls come with such adorable outfits.  The little boy looks a lot like the boys in my neighborhood growing up with the fabulous plaid and check outfits.

The little girl is straight from elementary school.  Wouldn’t this make a great special card for a teacher?  For this card, I again used a cute paper doll and layered her over altered chipboard, which was inked to enhance the retro/vintage feel.  The skeleton leaves were added with liquid adhesive under the ribbon.  The ribbon is from May Arts.  The Vintage Street Market store has some awesome green ribbon just like this red ribbon, which would be really fun for holiday greetings!

I hope you are able to enjoy a relaxed holiday season full of fun times and creativity!  Watch this spot for more great ideas!
