I found this great image of St. Valentine and hope you find it inspiring!
This month, I made a Valentine Card and Tag. Both are Vintage Fusion – new and old mixed together in a fresh way.
This Valentine is going to be used very close to home! Shhhhh! Don’t tell! I added patterned paper to a white card base. Then I began the layering fun with laces and ribbons that I had on hand. I punched the butterflies and hearts from the red foil sheet found in the store. I added crackle accents to one of the butterflies for a little more texture. The “for you” sign is from the packaging of Red Twirly Twine (my favorite color). The paper doll and a big sheet of clothes to cut and play with was the perfect base for the Valentine Sentiment. I had so much fun making this Valentine. I hope the recipient will love it as much as I do.
For the tag, I used a Vintage Valentine that I had on hand. If you don’t happen to have a source of vintage valentines, check out this item in the Vintage Street Market Store, Vintage Valentines Reproductions. Other supplies used for this tag were: a large tag, patterned paper, seed beads, vintage laces, a pink sharpie marker, ribbon, flower and stick pins. Isn’t the image adorable?

Have a Beautiful Valentines Day. You are Special!
When I think of Valentine’s Day, I always think of retro images. The artwork from the 40s, 50s and even the 60s was always so vibrant and playful, and I’m sure, we’re just as fun to pass out as to receive!
This typewriter valentine just makes me smile, and looks super cute adhered to a vintage Bingo card from the Vintage Bingo Card Assortment. Adhesive pop dots lift it up and a bit of Christmas Red Stickles adds some bling!
And, just for you, here’s a copy of that sweet valentine! Click on the above photo and print it out on cardstock to create your own retro valentine! Would love to hear about what you create with it!
I’m still on my “pocket kick. ” I just so love the contrast of wax/parchment paper and cardstock. Its so delicate looking, and of course, vintage! For this pocket, I sewed another vintage bingo card to the front, and adhered a retro valentine to that. Then, the fun part-trimming with foil hearts, ribbons and more Stickles! These little tags will slide right in-what a fun way to create a little message for someone you care about! Vintage tickets and Vintage Valentine Seals trim them nicely!
Be sure to check out the Valentine Store! There, you will find authentic retro valentines, and all sorts of vintage embellishments to make your Valentine’s Day projects one-of-a-kind!
Have a super day!
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I thought it would be fun to make some Valentine cards using some of my Vintage Street Market favorites.
To tie into the Valentine’s theme I used X’s and O’s for the Bingo markers on the card. This was a great way to finish up a couple alphabet sets that I couldn’t spell many things with anymore.
The flowers in the shop were the perfect finishing touch for this Valentine’s Day card, which I think would also make a wonderful wedding card.
I love to create scrapbooking layouts that capture and document the memories of our lives. By by adding your photos, Vintage Street Market papers and punch outs, you can create some easy and fun embelishments that add some interest to your layouts.
To add interest at the top of the layout, I used paint and Glimmer Mist to recreate the look of dots from the Vintage Street Mark Fun and Games Polka Dot paper.
To create a layered divider for the layout, I used canvas strips, sheer ribbon and topped with Black Twirly Twine.
Party Games – Paper & Punchouts
Cardstock, Ribbon, Canvas, Buttons, Paint, Glimmer Mist & Yellow Flowers
I created the flower embellishment, by layering a vintage crocheted piece, heart punches from red foil paper and then gathered a muslin scalloped ribbon and topped it with a button.
I completed the flower by adhering it to the bingo card.
