This week, Northern Colorado has been blessed with spring-like temps. We’re talking mid 50’s and 60’s, with a possibility for 70 (gasp!) on Friday. Its been lovely, and absolutely gets me in the mood for green grass and flowers. 🙂
I love the combination of felt and sequins. Especially on vintage Christmas stockings – nothing like it. Its such a charming combination of simplicity and glitz. And, felt is SO EASY to work with…..what’s not to love about that???
So, in this spring-like frame of mind, I decided to craft a little bouquet for Valentine’s Day. A simple swirl of felt creates a sweet little flower. And, some platinum sequins and seed beads really dress it up!
I used vintage pipe cleaners (that once upon a time, really cleaned pipes – ha!) for the stems and a vintage paper/foil leaf as an extra embellishment. Vintage sheet music makes a great, neutral background matte, framed in an old, simple wooden frame.
This little bouquet is now on my desk and is a great reminder for Spring days to come!
Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

Hello, and Happy Friday!
This week felt a bit “off” with Halloween landing on a Monday this year. Even with that, our kiddos had a great time and started celebrating last weekend. We hosted two teen parties – fun time but I’m looking forward to a quiet weekend. 🙂
Thought I’d share a few pics of what Halloween looked like at our house this year. I do LOVE Halloween!
The main living areas were more decorative, but when the kids headed down to the basement party room, the decor got a little more sinister. Of course, my version of “sinister” is still pretty G-rated. HA!
I have to give my hubby credit for the creative BBQ display. He BBQ’d brats and burgers for our son’s party.
Our daughter had the more creative “Pinteresty” type snacks at her party. The kids each brought a fun, Halloween type of food to share.
Of course, you can’t have a Halloween party without cheesy party games. Which, even cool 14 year olds still enjoyed playing. 🙂
I hope you have an enjoyable Halloween as well, and enjoy the Fall weekend!

Hello everyone! Heidi, here today and I have a card to share with you using paper from the Family Fun Set Paper Kit Meghan Kay Paper, tags from Dimestore Vogue Paper Sheets & Tags and some fun embellishments.
For the card base I used pink lemonade cardstock. Then I used the pink pattern paper from Family Fun Set Paper Kit Meghan Kay Paper and Sheet Music along with the S5-131 A2 Matting Basics A and S5-132 A2 Matting Basics B die templates to create the matts. Then I added the pink oval die cut, tag and tickets using 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
For the top part of the card I added some crochet lace trim and pink ric rac from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Then I added the Making Memories Garment Pin with a gem drop and some pearls.
For the bottom part of the card I added a blue crochet flower, pink mulberry flowers, buttons and some pearls.
